RCIP 2026 Candidate Intake Update — June 2026

We are pleased to share that 56 recommendations have been issued to date through the April 2026 intake of the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) for the Northeast BC – Peace Liard region.

We will be holding one final Selection Committee meeting at the end of August 2026 for discretionary candidates only.

If you were not successful in this intake, please be aware that there may be a second intake in Fall 2026, subject to receiving additional allocations from the federal government through the annual redistribution process. The redistribution is expected to be finalized by IRCC around October 2026, at which point we will know whether a second intake will proceed.

Any updates regarding a potential second intake will be shared on this website and communicated to designated employers via email as soon as information becomes available. We will provide as much advance notice as possible once details are confirmed.

Employers are welcome to reapply on behalf of their candidates with updated supporting documents in upcoming intakes, provided all program requirements continue to be met.
