2026 Planning & Upcoming Timelines

We know there is strong interest in what the Peace Liard RCIP will look like in 2026, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as planning continues.

At this time, we are waiting for IRCC to confirm our allocation numbers and program rules for 2026, which we expect to receive in early January. Once this information is available, we will finalize and submit our 2026 community plan for approval.

We are hopeful that the plan will be approved by early February 2026.

Employer Designation & Priority Occupations

Following approval of the 2026 plan:

• New priority sectors and NOC codes will be announced in early February, once the plan is approved

• Employer designations are expected to begin the second week of February.  

• Employer information sessions will be scheduled for late January, ahead of the employer intake opening

  
  

Please note: Designated employers do not need to apply again. Once an employer is designated, they remain designated for the full duration of the pilot.

Candidate Intake

• Candidate intake remains planned for Spring 2026

• Exact intake dates and application details will be shared closer to launch.
